Reservation Policy

Call-ahead or walk-in. High-demand items (skid steers, large scaffold packages) should be reserved 48 hours ahead during peak season (May–September).

Pickup & Return

Yard hours: Mon–Sat 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM. After-hours drop-box return available for tools and boxes — skid steers must return during staffed hours.

Delivery Available

Scaffold packages, gang boxes, and skid steers delivered to Laramie-area jobsites. Delivery fee based on distance and load — quoted at reservation.

Browse our rate sheet online or walk the yard floor. Ask our counter staff for recommendations based on your substrate and job scope.

Reserve & Sign

Sign the rental agreement, provide a valid ID and deposit. Pro accounts skip the deposit with an active NET 30 profile on file.

Inspect & Go

Walk around the equipment with our staff. Note existing wear on the condition report. Fuel level and hour meter logged at checkout.

Return & Close

Return during yard hours or use the after-hours drop for tools and boxes. Final invoice calculated on actual days out — no hidden fees.

  • Power tools cleaned, lubricated, and test-run after every return
  • Skid steers serviced every 250 engine hours with logged maintenance records
  • Scaffold frames inspected for bends, cracks, and weld integrity quarterly
  • Generator oil changed and load-tested before each rental season
  • Consumable parts (blades, bits, filters) replaced at manufacturer intervals
  • Equipment tagged with last service date, hour meter, and condition grade (A/B/C)

Jobsite Safety Requirements

  • Skid steer operators must be 18+ with valid ID — training guide provided at checkout
  • Scaffold erection must follow included layout guide and OSHA 1926 Subpart L
  • All gas-powered equipment must be operated outdoors or in ventilated areas
  • Damage beyond normal wear billed at published repair rates — quote provided before work
  • Theft or total loss covered by optional damage waiver or renter insurance
  • Report equipment malfunction immediately — swap-out available during yard hours

Common Questions

A valid government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card for the rental deposit. Contractor accounts with an approved NET 30 profile on file skip the deposit requirement. Skid steer rentals additionally require proof of operator age (18+).

Weekly rates cover any 7 consecutive days from checkout — not limited to Monday through Sunday. Pick up Tuesday, return the following Tuesday, and pay the weekly rate. Monthly rates cover 28 consecutive days.

Yes. Mixed-equipment rentals are common and billed on a single agreement with one deposit and one return date per item. Delivery for both can be coordinated on the same truck run for Laramie-area jobsites.

Call us during yard hours and bring the tool back for inspection. Normal wear and manufacturer defects are covered — we swap the item at no charge. Damage from misuse, dropped tools, or running over equipment is billed at published repair rates after a written quote.

Yes. Ex-rental and trade-in tools are sold at reduced prices on a dedicated aisle, clearly tagged with condition grade and remaining warranty status. Skid steers rotate out of the rental fleet after 3,000 hours and are sold with full service records.

We deliver scaffold packages, gang boxes, and skid steers throughout Albany County and into southeastern Carbon County. Delivery fees are based on distance and load weight — quoted at reservation with no surprise charges on delivery day.

High-demand items — skid steers, large scaffold packages, and generators during storm season — should be reserved by phone at least 48 hours ahead. Walk-in rentals for hand and power tools are always first-come, first-served with no reservation needed.

Wild West Retail started as a small tool counter serving Laramie framing crews and grew into a full equipment yard covering tool sales, daily rentals, scaffold packages, gang boxes, and skid steer loaders. We are locally owned, locally stocked, and open six days a week for walk-in sales and rentals.

Our team includes former tradespeople who understand what your crew actually needs on site — not what a catalog says you should buy.
